After dropping the kids at school, I go into Barnstaple for another surgery before heading off to catch the London train. It runs late so I have to pull my name out of topical education questions. Pity! I had wanted to continue my crusade to get Pupil Premium allocated on a fairer basis. One of the poorest constituencies in the country, mine, gets well below average Pupil Premium so our “funding gap” has actually got worse. The scheme is flawed.
