Do you remember when cinema films had intermissions?

Pa-pa-papa-paaa….Now it’s time for icecream, or maybe some nuts…I’ll be your dog….

If you’re over about 45 you’ll remember all this.

First the 1970s Pearl and Dean intro and then a few minutes of intermission advert nostalgia from the 60s and 70s:

  1. If you’re ever in my area, I shall take you to the Rex in Elland. They still have intermission. An ancient woman plays the hammond organ (yes really) while an equally ancient man sells little pots of locally made ice cream from a tray. It’s fabulous.

    • Wonderful! Do they still stick a hand written car registration numbers over the main film if someone is blocking the exit of the car park?
